We restart Tuesday May 14th and continue working in oils ( or medium of your choice!).

We have three weeks left this term. We will look at some techniques for painting trees and woods. There may be people who want to work on their seascapes the first week back which is OK.

I am going to sort out a short follow on course for June when hopefully we can do some painting and drawing outdoors around the hall. This will mean working in watercolour but if you feel adventurous and have a pochard box….or something similar …the you could take the oils out.

This term classes will be running Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10.30 -1.00.

The first week we will be working out compositions and doing tonal studies from your ‘water’s edge’ reference material. Bring watercolours, paper to include cartridge, pencil/charcoal.

For those that wish I shall be looking at picasa and how it can help in planning pictures.
If you have a laptop with picasa installed and can easily bring it along that would be a help.

We shall be working in acrylics or oils if you prefer. Using the same reference we worked up in watercolour last week,

This week we shall be continuing preparing for our art day and/or painting autumn subjects from life in watercolour. Please bring in leaves etc if you can. No probs if you want to use another medium.

Half term is the week beginning Monday October 29th. There are no classes this week.
Tuesday October 30th we have the hall all day to prepare for our art day with the British Heart Foundation Cymru which will be on Saturday November 10th.

Classes restart week beginning November 5th. The first week some of us may be  finishing preparations for the art day . The theme is autumn and we shall be working in media of your choice.
