The day was a great success thanks to lots of hard work put in by Gelli Aur Painters and members of the British Heart Foundation.
There was a lovely exhibition of paintings, some of which were sold and also handmade cards, Christmas stall and delicious cakes, soups and rolls.
I am told everyone had a good time. My absence from photos in the slide show is not out of shyness … unfortunately I could not attend the event itself because I was very ill with a bad cold and had lost my voice…. what good timing!!
I would like to thank everyone involved with organising and helping on the day and who supported the event. Special thanks to Llandeilo Mayor Councillor Dawn Wallace and Councillor Sian Elizabeth Thomas, Chair of Carmarthenshire County Council.
A really enjoyable day today and great lunch!
Thanks everybody. We spent the day making Christmas cards to donate for sale at our art day to be held at the Gelli Aur Church Hall on Saturday November 10th 10.00am – 5.00pm. We are helping to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation Cymru. Please come along to support us. There will be an art exhibition with work for sale, Christmas stalls, raffle and refreshments will be served all day. Admission is free. Also if you are interested in painting with us in the future it is a chance to see some of the work and find out about us.

Classes this term have been busy with table salt and candle wax again making lovely textural effects. This time some of us worked from a photograph of mine I took of a shed door whilst on holiday in North Wales .
It was the way the light was falling that caught my attention. Such a wonderful range of interpretations.
