Yesterday I went with my camera club on a trip to Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland Trust. Unfortuneately we had really horrid weather. It was like a winters day! It was difficult enough to take photos never mind trying to do any sketching. It was disappointing but everyone made the best of it and managed to get some photos. It’s a great place with lots to see and I will go back maybe in the autumn. For people that don’t know it was founded in 1946 by the late Sir Peter Scott and since then then WWT has gone from strength to strength. You can visit one of their sites nearer to home here at Llanelli.

These otters for me were the highlight of the trip. They were North American and active during the day.

Loved the picture and added comment about the coot. If only we were all as easily pleased.
Sorry you had disappointing weather for your visit but you’ll have cheered everyone up on this cold, wet and miserable Sunday with your glorious shots of the otters and especially your arty one of the flamingo…..so when will we see an otter in one of your river paintings? Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful photographs, quite an achievement considering the weather. Comments made me smile
